Happy Monday! The paperback versions of the Diary of A Teenage Mom series are now available on Amazon! Yay! You can click on the picture and it will take you to the paperback version on Amazon. (They are also available on Barnes & Noble and other online retailers). Today I should be finished the screenplay for the Diary of A Teenage Mom TV pilot. I'm sure there will have to be many revisions before it becomes a reality, but here's to step one!! Wish me luck!
Today, I had so much to do so I only had chance to write for a little while. My ending word count was 5435 words. I did delete a large portion of Chapter 2 and rewrote it, so I ended up writing at least 2400 words today.
Well, I'm finally on Instagram! You can follow me here
While working on my script for the DOTM series, I'm also writing a new novel.
So far, I have 4388 words! I'll do a word count update at the end of every day until it's finished!
I am taking a short break to update you guys! I am currently writing the script so that my Diary of A Teenage Mom series can become a 1-hour drama TV series! Wish me luck! Please fill out my survey. The more support I have for this, the better chance it will become a reality.
As I'm working on book 10 in the series, I like to take breaks and read responses to my quizzes and forms on my website, and emails from my readers. Some readers have asked where I get my ideas.
My ideas come from everywhere. The last few books have been set in Hollywood and that probably headed in that direction because I'm working on a screenplay, as well as working on converting the series into a TV series. As well, I have a good friend who is a publicist and TV producer in Hollywood, so my mind seems to be stuck in the realm of TV and movie production at the moment. As well as establishing my own small studio. I've discovered that I love writing screenplays as much as I love writing novels. I also have friends that are actors and have had the pleasure of working with some of them on various projects. I also did some BG acting work on the sci fi TV show, Haven, and actually used one of my own personal experiences from one of my long 14 hour workdays there. I actually fainted on set, and those two back-to-back 14 hour days actually aggravated a back injury from when I'd broken my tailbone 3 times, so I literally couldn't walk for months.
As well, I've had a few minor car accidents (going off the road in the winter), so my experiences were written into Emma's life, although her injuries were much worse than mine. As far as marriages and divorces and childbirth--been there, done that! As well as marrying someone other than my soulmate, and trying to do the right thing for the right reasons and have it all come crashing down. So, I've walked at least half a mile in Emma's shoes. lol.
By the way, in response to my survey question about who is your fave character in the series, I'm happy to see that a lot of you have picked the same one that is MY fave character. Who is MY fave character, you ask? Lance, of course. Don't worry, I control Emma's world and Lance isn't gone for very long!!! Book 10 might be the final one in the series (I'm not sure, I always think I'm done but then I just want to do so much more with the characters).
Book 10 is going to be a great change for Emma! She's finally going to learn to stand up for what SHE wants no matter what anybody else thinks.
Okay, back to writing for me! I'll keep you posted on my progress for book 10!
So far I've got 1389 words! I'm going to try to do a daily word update on Book 10 as I go.
Thanks for filling out my little surveys and letting me know what you like and what you don't like. I always take that into account as I write. So, if you have opinions, get them in now on my home page here. The further along in the book that I go, the less chance I have to consider input for major decisions in Emma's life. :)
Have a great weekend! I'll be writing all weekend!
