Heads up: Sometime today or tomorrow, Changes Happen, DOTM book 8, is going on sale for 33% off. So, for a limited time, the price is going to be $3.99 instead of $5.99. It's a "weekend sale" but I'm not sure how soon it goes into effect, it could be today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled and you could get it for less than the regular price!
Meanwhile, I'm taking a little break from working on book 9 at the moment. I have to do my spring cleaning, both at work and home, and then next week I'm working on a screenplay for a movie, so it will be around the end of April before I can get back to DOTM 9.
I tend to work on several novels at once, all in various stages. Right now in the back of my mind I've been fleshing out characters for my book NY Writer Gurl and that will be published under my pen name, Emily Ann Jones-Parker.
In my spare time I've also been working on my stickers for planners. I am having a slight problem getting the sizing absolutely correct, but here are pictures of what the stickers will be. There will be six sheets of stickers that will be downloadable and printable. For people that don't want to spend the cash on sticker paper, I've found it also works quite well for printing on regular paper and then gluing in with a glue stick or glue tape. I found this out by running out of sticker paper and having to test out the new sizing using regular paper and glue tape in my planner. It is great. I just have to add the marks on the edges of the paper to make sure that it will always print the correct size for people and then it should be ready to go. I'm going to be selling them individually for $1 a sheet and as a package of six sheets for $5.
I'm off to finish my spring cleaning, which is considerably harder than in previous years. This year I'm living in a little beach cottage, my writing cottage. It is very tiny with just one bedroom, one bathroom, and an open-concept living room and kitchen. I've had to segregate a part of the living room beside the windows overlooking the back yard with a vineyard, into a little office space. The cottage is tiny and I miss my huge two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. But for now, this is where I'm living.
Okay, so here are pics of the cover of Changes Happen, and a pic of my upcoming stickers.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate it.
This morning I went out for a walk in the park. I do believe spring is really here. The sun was warm, the wind was a bit chilly on the way back to the car.
I've decided to just relax today, watch movies on TV, and just think about my book. Sometimes taking a day off brings more great ideas out.
After I'm done book 9 in the DOTM series, I'm finally going to get around to writing my sci fi books.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm at 10K words on DOTM book 9. Yesterday my Word program kept acting up and that delayed me a little, but the main reason I only got maybe 1000 words on it yesterday was the fact that I just got so distracted.
I got a little sidetracked with thinking about some sticker designs I want to do, how I want to put the packages of printable stickers for sale, where I should put them on sale (ie my website, Etsy, etc), trying to figure out why my blog posts were going to the Navarone Twitter feed instead of my own, wondering how many of my books I can get written before the end of April, trying to decide if I should write this weekend.
There's so many things that can pull my mind away from my book. When that happens, I realize that I may as well take a little break from it for the day because if my writing is allowing MY mind to wander, then it probably won't be very interesting for my readers. Speaking of which, I know that book 5 in the DOTM series was a little boring and I apologize for that. In fact, I've decided that when I'm finished book 9, I'm going to go back and rewrite sections of book 5. Not in such a way that the story is changed because I want it to continue to be carried on in book 6 and onward, without having to rewrite each book after book 5, but do it in such a way that there's more interesting and powerful things in the story, that can be wrapped up within the story and not need to carry over afterwards, OR add stuff that led to things that happened in later books.
For anyone that already bought book 5, Kindle automatically updates the new edition for you and then notifies you that there has been an update to the book. So, I'm quite excited about that!!
Meanwhile, another exciting thing: All of the DOTM books are going to be out in print by the summer. The early ones will be getting new covers, or maybe all of them will, I'm not sure. So, I'm really excited about that!! It will be nice to have the entire collection on my bookshelf.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I'll write again on Monday, I promise!

Okay, because of my Twitter challenges, it has taken me forever to respond to a comment left by a very nice blogger who reviewed my books on her site. (the link is here:INTERVIEW)
It was really fun to answer her questions and she did a great review! You guys should really check out her blog!
Okay, another pic of Turbo. If he's good he gets to take the car out for a spin lol
I'm up at the crack of noon today. Don't worry, my schedule when I'm working on a book is crazy. I write until 2, 3, or even 4 a.m. and then get up late, have coffee, and get to work. I left off on book 9 last night at over 9000 words. That's AFTER scrapping over 8000 words when I got up yesterday. I'm glad I did, the 9000 words I have now are better words.
Before I start writing today, I decided I'd log into Twitter. I have a really hard time using Twitter. I don't know if it's some kind of mental block, or because I have so much else going on, I just don't often think of it. I am updating my FB page now every day. So, when I logged into Twitter and saw that some of my readers had been tweeting about reading my books, it made me so happy I decided to make a promise to myself to start getting serious about Tweeting! So, for the next 30 days, (not counting weekends) I'm going to try to tweet every day (okay, maybe on weekends too then).
Also, I actually thought that my blog posts were being shared on my twitter account, so it was a little annoying to discover that they weren't. So, I'm going to try to tweak these blog settings again and see if I can get that working again. I know it used to!
In other news, there isn't really much other news. I'm just writing a lot on book 9 now and that is getting exciting! I have never been good at keeping secrets and I always almost write here what is going on in book 9 but I don't want to ruin it for you!
So, instead I will post a picture of my cat, Turbo. He helps me write my books. lol

Well, at six o'clock this morning I decided to rewrite the first five chapters of book 9 in the Diary of A Teenage Mom series ! This happens, but it is not going to happen as badly as it did for book 8. How do I know this? Because for Book 8, I would realize that the start of it was boring and it would take weeks to come up with a better beginning. NOW, even though I wasn't happy with the first couple chapters, I still couldn't get it right in my head so I just kept on writing. There's a lot of good stuff within the first five chapters that I'm keeping, so I'm just going to really spruce up the opening.
By the end of today, I will have a tighter, better version of the first five chapters! Now that I have the opening paragraph that makes ME excited about the book, I'm back into the book. I'm back to the emotional level I was at while writing the finished version of book 8! So, I'm back in love with life!!
If anyone is interested in my favorite song of the day, this is what I'll be listening to today when I need a brief break. Enjoy!

This week, I'm focusing on writing book 9 in the DOTM series, while listening to Ophelia by the Lumineers, and Marvin Gaye by Charlie Puth. If you want to see what my schedule looks like this week, here is an actual image from my actual planner for this actual week, taken by my actual self. :) I hope you all are enjoying book 8!!! The stickers were made by me, drawn by me (except for the typewriters) and the checklists and other stickers will be on my fun page for sale at some point when I get a moment (right now I'm engrossed in book 9).

I am really surprised! I didn't expect it was going to be available until Monday!
I'm anxious for reader feedback! Please let me know what you think after you read it!!!
This one is MY favorite of all in the series so far!!!
So, yes, I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears during the writing of this book. But, I think is the very best of the series. It's the only one that I literally cried as I wrote certain scenes!! Plus, it's longer than the other books in the series. This one is around 57,000 words. Twice as long as some of the others.
I may just do a countdown to the release of this book! I'm so excited about it finally being released. It took TWO years to get this book out! I had to rewrite it at least twelve times! I am not even joking! I remember deleting 5000 words at a time and starting over, and over, and over. This started in 2014!
I have so many various drafts of this book that my writing folder looks like this as far as the file names go: DOTM 8, DOTM 8 version 2, DOTM 8 version 3 (and 4, 5, 6) , DOTM Good version, DOTM Final Version, DOTM Final version August 2014, DOTM final FINAL version, DOTM 8 Final Version Oct 2014 (and final versions Jan 2015, March 2015, July 2015, August 2015, December 2015). Ugh!
You can see how this book will be the best book in the series. I've never labored so much over any book I've ever written (except Brothers of Atlantis which is still in one of it's 'final' versions half written).
So, once you read this book, out of curiosity, I'd like to know what is your very favorite sentence in the book. Don't worry, I don't want you to search for a favorite sentence. I just want you to read it and enjoy it, that's it. But when a favorite sentence hits you, you'll know it and you'll remember that I was curious about that.
OR maybe that's just ME and I just happen to have favorite sentences from time to time. After the book has been out for a few weeks, I'll tell you what MY favorite sentence is in this whole entire book!!
Thanks for sticking with me, guys! It's been a rough two years for me but I'm back!! It's only going to be better from here!!
PS: I totally started signing my name with an xoxo because of Gossip Girl! Yes, I still love that show!
