Also, (please note that I am hanging my head in shame here) I am STILL finishing up DOTM 8. I know, I know--this book has been taking forever. Yes, it has. Blame it on Emma and Tank. I mean, after all, she's pregnant with twins and it is taking forever for her to do stuff.
Details: Several chapters had to be scrapped and rewritten...and life happened. So, I promise it will be finished soon. Promise! Pinky swear, even!
So, with the excitement of the holidays, I totally forgot about renewing this domain name and my website went offline. For some reason, as I was working on my planner for January today, the thought just struck me that I my website was supposed to have been renewed in December. I checked, and yes, I'd forgotten about it. So, now I've renewed that and I can forget about it for another year.
Meanwhile...among my resolutions for 2016 are goals for more writing. I want to write at least 10 books this year. I know that is ambitious, but I want to write more books besides the DOTM series. I have a few planned and ready to write, and I want to write Katie in the City. Don't worry, there will be at least two more DOTM books (no timeline for when I'll get those out though), and likely more than just two more in the series, but after 10 books, I will really need a break from these characters. I think the best way is to transition Emma into a new series just called Emma's Life. Because, really, after book 8, she isn't really a teenager any longer.
So, thank you for sticking with me and being patient. Please know that writing a novel involves one great idea, a lot of hours of hard work, and even more hours of procrastination and nail-biting.
Oh, and one more thing...my main goal this year is to turn DOTM into a TV series. I'm already constructing the pitch and pilot script for a studio and I'll keep you posted. This has been a long time coming, but I have confidence it will succeed.
Meanwhile, I hope you all had an awesome Christmas and have a terrific new year!
Happy New Year!!
