I'm surrounded by boxes, which I don't want to pack, and and half-empty bookshelves, my desk is covered in boxes and odds and ends that haven't fit into any of the already-packed boxes, just waiting for the right space to be fit in.
I managed to write a couple thousand words this morning. I just couldn't wait any longer to get back to the book, so I ignored all the chaos around me and wrote for a bit. It is the most relaxing part of my day.
I've updated my nanowrimo word tracker so you guys can clik the typewriter picture to the right of this post and still watch my progress. The nanowrimo tracker will only allow trackers of no more than 100 days, so I had to edit and restart the tracker, but I will keep this tracker up to date so you can see my progress!
Is it just me, or does everyone hate the moving process? I don't like packing but I like unpacking even less! I still have boxes in this cottage (affectionately known as my writing cottage, despite the fact that I've written less here than I ever have anywhere!) that haven't been unpacked from our move here! We've been living in the cottage since fall of 2015 and there are boxes that I just never got around to unpacking!
I have found a solution for this issue of mine. I know I won't want to unpack, even though the chaos of boxes drives me nuts, so I have a solution. If there's time after everything is packed, I am going to wrap all the boxes in gift-wrap and just pile everything in the living room of the new apartment! That way, I know I love to open presents, so I'll be anxious to open them and see what's inside! I may even accidentally unwrap the boxes that haven't been unpacked since we moved here!
Ironically, despite all the chaos and activity in the process of moving, I have actually found time to update this blog! Will wonders never cease?
Have a great weekend!
